Week Four - 1/25/21-1/29/21

Greetings! Next week, you are finding out who your partner is for the Partner Project (we are drawing these AFTER the Unit Two Test on your in-class days). You will be asked to choose a piece of paper - it'll have careers on it, and then dice - potential children. You will have to establish some components of your lives based on these bits of information next week, but you will decide what type of relationship, how long you've had the relationship, and school appropriate storylines. You are NOT planning and writing them this week. You are just finding out the initial information. Next week you'll write the storyline you agree upon.
Unit Two - Already Over We have our Unit Two Test this week. Have you looked over the study guide in Canvas? Have you looked back at your notes. We will cover the intial failings of the Articles of Confederation in both Unit Two AND Unit Three. Make sure you are paying attention to Shay's Rebellion as it is on your test while we are sketchnoting.
Late Work/Retakes If you haven't yet noticed, or I haven't yet done it (depends when you are reading this), the items for the first week of school are disappearing this week, they will reappear when it is time for finals, but they will be hidden for the rest of the semester because it is too far past to do those assignments. Next week ALL of Unit One will also disappear because we will be in Unit Three. So if you have a test you need to retake, you have a short window of opportunity to complete them - you can come for reteach/retest or you can complete the study guide by hand and turn it in - in order to be able to retest. This is not I wait until the end of the nine weeks and then decide what I need to do. You should be working as we go along. If you have questions, please let me know.
Changes in Canvas at End of Week So I am participating in a pilot program of syncing Canvas and Power School together (a few other teachers are also participating). Due to the set up of a sync, individual Cohorts can't be labeled on assignments. So on Fridays during Fourth Period, I will remove Cohort Labels and make a universal due date for all in order to sync the assignments with Power School. Please make sure the assignments are in by their due date so you don't have a zero.
