Greetings! This week in Civics you will do the second component of what will become the Partner Project. You will need to find a recipe that meets with any dietary restrictions in your house and then do a cost analysis of how much it will cost to make - you will also have a budget, so if it goes over cost, you'll need to cut out ingredients (changes the taste) OR find a new recipe. This fits in with Unit Eleven in case you are wondering why things are appearing in Unit Eleven even though we are on Unit Two. Unit Eleven will be completed primarily over the course of the semester on Weds. in addition to your quizlet/vocabulary assignments. After the Partners are established you'll also have class time to discuss with your partner as the project continues.

Colonial America Unit Two is focused on Colonial America. So as subjects of the British crown and then being inspired to gain our independence and become a nation of our own. There will be a map quiz next week on the Thirteen Original Colonies so make sure that you are doing the map review.

World History? Due to the Interdisciplinary Project and the Partner Project you will not be completing the "Dear George" Project. That doesn't make the Declaration of Independence any less valuable to our heritage as a nation. On Friday, we will look over the document in class. However, if you are in Cohort A, we won't have a class due to the holiday in which we do this, if you were in World History last year you have "Revolutions Review Packet" in which we went over the important factors. Look in your Google Drive. If you were in Sociology, on Friday there will be a link to my file. You can review the comments and the important components. This is just looking at it - make sure to look at the important Enlighteners who come up in the second paragraph, the ways we attempted to fix it, and the Eternal Statement. Questions after looking it over? Let me know!

Questions? E-mail me at kemiller@gaston.k12.nc.us Thank you for your time!
