Welcome Back! Civics and Economics has three difference sections. We will be using the Personal Finance Components through out the semester. We will also have a new interdisciplinary projects that will go through the semester as well. So there will be TWO projects that run the whole semester, in addition to other projects through out as well. Government (where we will spend the bulk of our time), Economics (Macro), and Personal Finance are the three separate sets of standards in one course

Public Discourse You don't have to agree with each other, but you will be respectful. We will be practicing public discourse through out the semester. This is having an opinion, being able to substantiate (evidence for why) it, and then LISTENING to those that don't agree, their substantiation, and having a nice solid conversation.

Flipgrid... We will be using flipgrid a lot this semester, so look about your house and choose a designated spot (neutral background, good lighting, nice spot for sound) for your videos.

Questions? E-mail me at kemiller@gaston.k12.nc.us Thank you for your time!
